SCOPE OF PROJECT ACTIVITIES

Our own team of chartered construction engineers and architects develops comprehensive designs and documentation for all stages of administrative proceedings: studies, EIA, zoning permit documentation, design documentation for the building permit, tender documentation, implementation projects, production process documentation, as-built documentation and others. Specialised tasks are handled in close cooperation with our partners.

01Industry, technology and design of production entities

Thanks to many years of know-how in the design of production entities and PIO Keramoprojekt’s team of specialists, we can design even the most challenging industrial construction projects in the following fields:

  • Manufacturing of building materials - cement plants, lime kilns, carbide production, etc.
  • Extraction and processing of raw materials - limestone, magnesite, talc, etc.
  • Production facilities and entities for the mechanical engineering, medical, electrical engineering and glass industries
  • Logistics and storage
  • Design of industrial parks and zones and infrastructure of manufacturing sites
  • Aviation industry structures - aircraft hangars, infrastructur

02Architecture

The specific conditions and unique requirements of each project are always at the basis of the considerations of PIO Keramoprojekt’s architects and engineers. A coherent concept, well-suited layout, logical spatial adaptation and sound aesthetics are the distinguishing marks of our work. The fact that our architects work in a single multi-disciplinary team together with structural engineers and HVAC specialists enables us to create cost-effective and efficient solutions.

As regards operational cost-effectiveness and environmentally-friendly use of resources, we strive to design energy-efficient buildings which take into account and make use of the local circumstances, thus, optimising the overall cost of the structure. One example is our award-winning ultra-low-energy residential building in Petržalské dvory I in Bratislava, one of the top-notch innovative projects on the market.

We develop the following types of projects:

  • land and space use studies
  • urban planning studies
  • architectural designs and concepts
  • architectural and construction designs for all phases of projects

03Structural engineering and load-bearing structures

One of our strengths is the close collaboration of structural engineers with other professions in all stages of design work ensured by the fact that the structural engineering parts of our designs are developed directly by PIO Keramoprojekt’s chartered structural engineers. Our goal are rational, pure and simple load-bearing structures with a clear function, which are easily implemented, thus minimising the possibility of technological errors.

We deliver designs and structural assessments of load-bearing structures for:

  • monolithic reinforced concrete, precast and prestressed structures
  • steel, wooden and masonry structures
  • foundation engineering, including supporting structures and construction pit stability
  • reinforcement and remediation of load-bearing structures (i.e. prestressed silos of reinforced concrete, etc.)

We use a broad selection of software for our designs and assessments of load-bearing structures: Scia Engineer, Geo, Advance Steel, Cadkon RCD, Advance Concrete

04Interiors

When designing interiors, we always analyse the needs, job routines and specific demands of their future users. A well-designed workplace or environment has a positive impact on personnel, their interaction, efficiency and, ultimately, the identity of the whole company. Our workplace interior designs also address lighting, colour schemes and furniture. A suitable layout of individual operational sites and functional units saves space and gives the interior an aesthetic appearance even under normal use conditions. Well-chosen colour schemes and lighting will help highlight the strengths of the designed layout.
